| Highlights
ETG exciters are very light and compact equipment, they can be used both as exciters and main transmitters and directly connected to the antenna. High power models have been developed for this application; these are very useful where compactness, lightness and low-cost are important factors.
Easy-use A simple and wide LCD interface ease operating parameters' reading and settings. Final user can password-protect its chosen configurations. On request we can personalize ETG displaying on its LCD the broadcaster's logo.
Audio quality 3 bars indicate frequency deviation (one for composite signal and two for left and right channels), with peak memory. A histogram on frequency and time axis allows precise monitoring of audio chain performances. An extremely wide and flat audio pass-band, without phase rotation ensures that the MPX signal is transmitted at high quality without stereo degradation. A programmable ALC (Automatic Level Control) circuit acts on variations of the composite MPX signal, maintaining its level within the range defined by the user.
High Performance
Reliability: RF amplifier is protected by a VSWR monitor progressively reducing output power to a safe value in the case of mismatch; ETG exciters can be run in this condition indefinitely without risks of damage.
Stability: an ALC circuit ensures that output power remains constant throughout the operating frequency band.
Telemetry: Standard included in basic equipment, allows remote monitoring and adjustment of the unit's operating parameters. Just an additional standard or GSM modem or HyperTerminal software (© Microsoft Windows) is required.
Modularity: An expansion slot has been designed to place a Stereo Input and Stereo coder board (stereo filetr, clipper and pre-emphasis) inside ETG exciters.
